Book Cover Designs

A redesign of the cover for 'A Lady's Guide to Scandal' by Sophie Irwin. A book I very much enjoyed reading in 2024, that explores a woman's reputation and the creativity and freedom in no longer caring about the rules.. The black silhoutte represent the characters mourning and the pink represents the colour and joy waiting to break through. The cracks represent fragile reputation and the roses show the possibility growing from breaking.
A redesign for the cover of 'City of Stolen Magic' by Nazneen Ahmed Pathak. I set myself this project using the brief for the Penguin Cover Design Award to practice my illustrator and graphics skills. It features a series of drawings from the story connected by the river flowing into the sea - representing the main character's journey. The purple silhouette of London in the middle of the Indian towns, represents the magic and autonomy stolen from India.

Digital Art Work

A personal project to practice digital illustration skills. I used my own photo of a bird to create a sketch, planning layout and colour, and then I created the sketch in Illustrator.
